Soundmatters’ company, sponsored by Dr. Godehard Guenther, physicist and NASA engineer, has upgraded the foxLv2 Bluetooth speaker with the new model named foxLv2 PLATINUM unit. This will be of great use for those customers who are not ready to negotiate with the quality of sound. This model will have better new platinum – appearance finishing. It will also be having an improved battery life, new audiophile cable and will be equipped with apt – X audio coding to offer and make available CD quality above Bluetooth.
The dimensions of the foxLv2 PLATINUM will be the same, i.e. 5.6 x 2.2 x 1.4 inch (143 x 55 x 35 mm) and will have a weight of 269 grams. It will have a battery life of around 8 to 10 hours when the Bluetooth is switched on, and around 20 hours when the Bluetooth is not in use. It will be using AC adapter as the power supply, which will rise the output wattage by two times and would rise to 2 x 2W to 2 x 4W when it is running off the mains power. It is believed to be the best development over the earlier models. The company promises that it will have a superior image and sound quality. Just like the earlier models, this model too will have inherent microphone plus a speakerphone.
The price of this new device is supposed to be in the range of US$229. The sales would begin in November 2011.
