Peoples going for mountaineering, forest camping and so on adventurous things still looking for some good notebooks as their companion. Although there are so many notebooks we can find in the markets at this date, the quest is “are they both rough and speed enough?”. NEC, a 32-year-old Japan based company announced the release of ShieldPRO N22G notebook in Japan market. This product might be a solution for a rough notebook seekers who were looking for a notebook that need to be used in rough environmental conditions with high-speed.
According to NEC, we can use this N22G in temperature range from -20 to 50 degrees Celsius, at deserts with heavy dust or sand , can fall from 90cm onto concrete and finally water cannot damage this notebook. The company also assures a 12 hours battery life at some extreme environment or conditions.
Besides the ruggedness this notebook comes with a convertible 12.1-inch touchscreen (back-lit LCD with 1,024×768 resolution), a dual core i7-660UE CPU (1.33GHz), 4GB memory, an Intel QM57 chip set, SD card/Memory Stick Duo slots, three USB ports, IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, Gigabit Ethernet and a dual language (English/Japanese) keyboard.
NEC also promises a 2.5 times faster running speed compared to other notebooks installed with Intel Core i7-660UE processor (1.33GHz). The N22G’s release date outside the japan is not sure yet and this notebook was designed to operate only on Windows operating system(either XP or Windows 7) which may upset some peoples.
